Nowadays, with the continuous popularization and improvement of the concept of scientific parenting, mastering the general law of infant growth and development, and following this law to care for the healthy growth of infants and young children has become a compulsory course for parents. A few days ago, experts from the "Scientific Fitness and Health Promotion Guidance and Popularization" project sponsored by the Group Department of the General Administration of Sports and sponsored by the Sports Science Research Institute of the General Administration of Sports of the State said that the growth and development process of infants and young children is continuous, but it shows the characteristics of stages. In the growth and development of motor organs and nervous system, head movements first develop (head up, head turning), then upper limb movements (grasping, pinching objects), then trunk movements (sitting, flipping), and finally lower limb movements (standing, walking).

At the same time, the growth and development rate of infants and young children is wave-like, and there are two sudden growth and development periods from fetal to mature, one is the fetal period and the other is the adolescent period. For example, from conception to birth, the head develops the fastest, accounting for 70% of the overall growth, from birth to 1 year old, the trunk develops the fastest, accounting for 60% of height growth, and from 1 year old to adolescence, the legs develop the fastest, accounting for 66% of height growth. The growth and development of each system is unbalanced, but unified and coordinated, and the growth and development of each system is not carried out in isolation, but affects and adapts to each other.

Experts said that the characteristics, potential, limits, and tendencies of children's growth and development are affected by the genetic factors of both parents. Adequate and reasonable nutrition is the material basis for children's growth and development, and the younger the child, the greater the impact of nutrition. Moderate exercise helps the secretion of growth hormone in the body, which in turn helps growth and development. Good living environment and sanitary conditions, as well as the love of relatives, have an important impact on the formation of children's character and morality, and the development of intelligence.

Exercise from early childhood, exercise can promote the metabolic process in the body, regular exercise can increase basal metabolism, the baby eats fragrantly, sleeps well. Exercise can effectively promote the development of the respiratory system of children and adolescents, and babies run fast and have good endurance. Exercise promotes the development of the cardiovascular system and increases its functional level. During exercise, the heart's workload increases, the heart rate increases, and blood flow increases, so that the heart muscle receives sufficient nutrition. Exercise has a significant effect on the development of the motor system, including nerves, bones and muscles, improves exercise ability, promotes cartilage plate hyperplasia, and the baby has great strength. Experts also remind that although the benefits of exercise are many, parents must be closely integrated with health care, under scientific guidance, timely replenishment of energy and various nutrients, in order to achieve significant results.
